\"Vince_CD_book_HIGH-4\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I wrote this one for our wedding,<\/p>\n

…or more probably, the words slipped in\u00a0when\u00a0that was filling\u00a0my head; anyhow it was all finished for the day (which was by the way great).<\/p>\n

In a way the song felt part of a new beginning too. \u00a0Having said goodbye to the band and the vague ambition of being on top of the pops a few years before, I realised I was still \u00a0writing music without any audience and I quite liked that; some people tinker around in sheds I was still messing\u00a0about with songs, and when friends did finally start to hear them\u00a0they tended to say they sounded\u00a0more genuinely like me. \u00a0 \u00a0For a long time I couldn’t sing the lines,<\/p>\n

‘…all the happiness that we can share<\/p>\n

’til we look up from rocking chairs<\/p>\n

at grown up children on the beach<\/p>\n

and swapping smiles from each to each.’<\/p>\n

without filling up a bit,<\/p>\n

fortunately after a few listens Carol liked it too, even though, like nearly everything I make up, you can’t dance to it….<\/p>\n
