I’m not big on\u00a0nostalgia, but you can’t deny ‘The Clangers’\u00a0was\u00a0great Children’s TV ; \u00a0imaginative, and inviting imagination. Oliver Postgate\u00a0provided a\u00a0beautifully\u00a0mysterious\u00a0\u00a0narration over a pretty avant-garde soundtrack; and it was,\u00a0well poetic. \u00a0\u00a0I mean here’s a bit from\u00a0the opening of this episode:<\/p>\n

“this calm serene orb, sailing majestically among\u00a0the myriad stars of the firmament”<\/p>\n

… you know if you talk down to children you make them stupid.<\/p>\n

Not bad role models either those Clangers. they were all about working together\u00a0and figuring things out kindly; at least I think that’s what they were saying…<\/p>\n
