The first trick was to convincing Carol and Laurie they wanted to come on a bit of a Sunday afternoon road trip.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Once Again\" width=\"604\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/E7w8RIFDCOQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;d looked on Google Maps for a place close enough that might work for a bit of seclusion and found a pull-in by some scrub off Mitcham Common.&nbsp;&nbsp;Laurie filmed from the back seat and Carol was pursuaded to do a bit of the acting in the front seat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We had been messing around on the Common for a long time filming but really we were waiting for dusk. I wanted to get a sense of journeying into excitement and jeopardy and that needed a bit of darkness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had my pad of paper with shots to tick off which I was hoping would give me much more footage than I needed. Then later when I got home I moved things around to see what fitted with each line of music.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each time I do this I&#8217;m trying to make it visually interesting without ecclipsing the song.&nbsp;&nbsp;The challenge for a narrative song&nbsp;&nbsp;like this one is to suggest things without over explaining it. So there were a lot of shots I left out, shoes getting pulled off and thrown on to the back seat, that sort of thing, because they were too on the nose.&nbsp;&nbsp;Instead of that stuff, I edited together lots of clips with &#8216;red for danger&#8217; like the tail-lights; and that parked red car like a dangerous red heart.&nbsp;&nbsp;Other bits came by with a bit of luck; I really like that fox scuttling away at 0.55 &#8211; moody \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyhow as you won&#8217;t be able to tell from the video we had a laugh running around on the Common and squashed into the car.
